    What is a bigbang?
    A bigbang is a collaborative fan creation event where artists, writers, and betas work in teams to create completely new transformative works during a set creation period. These works are kept private throughout the creation period, and all of the works will be released during a set period of time after the creation period ends.    What can I create for the bigbang?
    Anything within reason, as long as it follows our content guidelines (available on the rules page)! You will not be forced to write or draw for ships/characters/premises you dislike.    Can I create a crossover or AU?
    Yes, within reason - since this is an Ensemble Stars!! Bigbang, the main focus and cast of your works should be around Ensemble Stars!!    Can I use a piece I've already started writing/posting?
    No - the purpose of the bigbang is to create a new fanwork in collaboration with your bigbang team.    Can I write multiple connected fics/draw more than one piece of art?
    Yes, as long as all your fanworks are completed by the start of the posting period!    How does the tier system work?
    Artists and Writers will choose a tier when they sign up. Tier 1 is 5k words/1 art piece minimum, tier 2 is 15k words/2 art pieces minimum. The tier chosen does not affect maximum word count. Teams will be initially paired within tiers - tier 2 writers with tier 2 artists, and vice versa.    Tiers will be opt-down, rather than opt-up - you won’t be able to change from the lower word count minimum to the higher one, but you can go from the higher one to the lower one. This will apply to all team members. Even if a team chooses to opt-down during the creation process, there are still no upper limits on word count or pieces of art created.Is there an age requirement to participate?
    Nope! However, age may be taken into account during the pairing process for the comfort of all participants and teams, and you will have to disclose your age range (ie. 15+, 18+, etc.)

    RULES + ROLES

    GENERAL RULES
    -You MUST have a Discord account and be willing to join the event Discord server.
    -You must theme your work around Ensemble Stars!! and its characters.
    -You must be willing to work cooperatively and kindly with your group!
    -No interpersonal drama will be permitted within event spaces.
    -You may ask for feedback on other servers, but please do not share WIPs/post projects before your scheduled posting date, which will be given by the mods on the final week of the event! There are also places for critique and feedback amongst your fellow participants in the Bigbang Discord.
    -Only provide critique when it is asked for, and keep it constructive.
    -Progress checks as outlined in the event timeline are MANDATORY, in order to make sure team communications are going smoothly and that participants are on track to complete their works by the final deadlines.
    -If you are having trouble with a deadline, PLEASE LET A MOD KNOW ASAP.
    -Any questions about the Ensemble Stars!! Bigbang can be directed to the mods on Discord or on the event Tumblr.    CONTENT RULES:
    ALL CONTENT CREATED FOR THE BIGBANG:
    -MUST CONTAIN characters from Ensemble Stars!! Alternate universes, crossovers, and original characters are allowed, provided the characters from Ensemble Stars!! are still a major focus of the piece. This allows and includes femstars/genderbends, ship content, rarepairs, character studies, etc.!
    -CANNOT CONTAIN: pedophilia, incest, abuse, gore, teacher/student ships, sexual content or themes. Think at most an M rating on AO3. Non-graphic violence, and non-graphic major character death are fine; however, if you catch yourself debating whether it should have an M or an E rating, you should probably consider toning it down. NO sexual content is allowed, including “fade to black” or non-graphic sex scenes.
    -The use of generative AI to create/aid your work is NOT ALLOWED for any of the art, writing, or editing created specifically for the bigbang, and heavily discouraged for any non-bigbang works shared within bigbang spaces.    WRITER RULES:
    -Fics must meet the minimum word count (5k for Tier 1, 15k for Tier 2).
    -Crossover content of other fandoms is permitted, as long as Ensemble Stars!! is a primary focus.
    -Please keep your works entirely non-sexual.
    -Your fic should be made for this event. It can be a pre-existing idea, but it cannot be a work in progress as of the beginning of the event.    ARTIST RULES:
    -An artist should have the minimum of finished pieces by the deadline of the project (1 for Tier 1, 2 for Tier 2). They can do multiple if they have extra time or choose to do so.
    -Any art medium that the artist prefers is fine, as long as it is approved by the rest of their team and a mod.
    -Please make sure the work created is fic-specific. It should not be so general as to be removed entirely from its fic context.    PINCH HITTER RULES:
    -You MUST be okay with picking up another person’s WIP and working with their team, as well as potentially working with other creators on one project. You may not get to choose what project you work for.
    -You may have a significantly shorter deadline. Please be prepared for this occasion.    BETA READER RULES:
    -This role may be taken on in addition to any of the others. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE UP ANOTHER ROLE IF YOU CANNOT COMMIT TO BOTH.
    -Communicate well with your writers! Make sure to only give them the kind of feedback they want to listen to (ex. check for spelling errors or story inconsistencies depending on what they tell you to look for).
    -Keep feedback CONSTRUCTIVE and be as kind as possible.
